Australia's only fan-voted race, All-Star Mile, will return on March 18th at Moonee Valley Racecourse.

First introduced in 2019, the event allows fans to vote on their favourite horse, with 10 fan-voted runners selected from a field of 15 horses.

Zaaki took out the race last year, holding out the likes of I'm Thunderstruck and Cascadian.

Here's everything you need to know ahead of the 2023 All-Star Mile.

All-Star Mile 2023 results

Mr Brightside has flashed home to win the $5 million All-Star Mile, beating home the likes of Cascadian and Alligator Blood in an exciting affair.

The five-year-old gelding, trained by the Hayes family, was rated a $6.80 chance with TAB and jockey Luke Currie did all he needed to do to get the Kiwi star into clear air in the final 200 metres.

Earlier on the card, Florescent Star was unfortunately euthanised in a horrific fall, with jockey Teo Nugent taken to hospital after suffering a head knock.
