Superstar skier Lindsey Vonn has announced her split from golfing ace Tiger Woods.
Vonn, a gold medalist at the 2010 Winter Olympic games in Vancouver, had been in a relationship with 14-time major winner Woods for almost three years and was in attendance during his comeback from a two-month hiatus at the Masters last month.
The four-time FIS Alpine Skiing World Cup champion stated that busy lifestyles had played a part in the decision to end their relationship.
"After nearly three years together, Tiger and I have mutually decided to end our relationship," Vonn posted on her official Facebook page.
"I will always cherish the memories that we've created together. Unfortunately, we both lead incredibly hectic lives that force us to spend a majority of our time apart.
"I will always admire and respect Tiger. He and his beautiful family will always hold a special place in my heart."
Woods released a similar statement of his own soon after via his official website, the 39-year-old speaking of his "great admiration, respect and love" for Vonn.
He went official with his relationship with Vonn in March 2013, having divorced his wife Elin Nordegren in August 2010 after revelations of several infidelities came to light.
