Round 3 of the 2022 U.S. Open wasn't a classic. Only seven of the 64 golfers who made the weekend cut posted a score under par Saturday as swirling wind and low temperatures made The Country Club course a real challenge.
Will Zalatoris and Matt Fitzpatrick were among the biggest risers Saturday, posting scores of 3-under 67 and 2-under 68, respectively. As a result, Zalatoris and Fitzpatrick enter Round 4 tied for the lead at 4 under par after 54 holes.

Both are seeking their first major professional victory. Fitzpatrick put on a historic display at Brookline as an 18-year-old in becoming the first Englishman to win the U.S. Amateur.
Zalatoris has found his form in recent months. He finished second in the 2022 PGA Championship, losing a three-hole playoff to Justin Thomas. Zalatoris followed his strong display at Southern Hills with a top-five showing at the Memorial Tournament.
Reigning U.S. Open champion Jon Rahm is just one stroke back of the lead, while Keegan Bradley, Adam Hadwin and Scottie Scheffler all sit two strokes back. Even Rory McIlroy, who went 3 over on Saturday after impressing in the first two rounds, is still in striking distance at 1 under.
All of that is to say that there's a whole lot to play for Sunday. Conditions aren't expected to change much in the next 24 hours, save for a bit of rain overnight. With the winds expected to be blustery once more and temperatures slated to stay in the 60- to 70-degree range, one thing is for certain: there should be some surprises.
Here's everything you need to know you need to know about the Round 4 tee times at the 2022 U.S. Open at The Country Club in Brookline, Mass.
