Tiger Woods' score: Complete Round 2 results, highlights from 2023 Masters image

Picking up on Saturday following Friday's rain-out at the Masters, Tiger Woods took golf fans on a roller coaster in the morning.

Woods entered the day sitting at 2-over par, and it looked like it was going to be a conservative day. He hit a slew of pars in a row, but on No. 15, he nearly recreated an iconic shot in which his hit the pin on the famous short hole.

After completing a birdie, it looked like Woods was in good shape. At 1-over, he was well within the cut line.

However, following a par on 16, Woods bogeyed his last two holes to finish the day at 3-over -- 51st in the field at the time. He ended the day needing either Sungjae Im or Justin Thomas to move to 3-over to play through the weekend. Im and Thomas both bogeyed down the stretch, with Thomas finishing at 4 over par and missing the cut. As a result, Woods made his 23rd straight Masters cut, tying Fred Couples and Gary Player for the most consecutive Masters cuts ever.

Tiger Woods score, highlights from Round 2 at Masters 2023

Saturday, April 8

9:58 a.m.: Woods finishes his day at 3 over and walks off to a round of applause. He's not in control now, and will need either Sungjae Im or Justin Thomas to finish the day at 3 over. 50 players are currently at 2 over or better. So Woods is right up against the wire.

9:55 a.m.: Not official yet, but Woods looks like he's going to go to 3 over to end the day as he misses that putt. Just tough sledding down the stretch there.

9:52 a.m.: Woods gets a round of applause as he approaches the green on No. 18, but this is going to be tough for him. That shot did not go where he wanted it to, and he needs a wild putt to stay at 2-over.

9:50 a.m.: They're talking through the biggest shot of the tournament for Woods right now. This approach on 18 needs to be all but perfect.

9:47 a.m.: Cam Smith has a great shot on No. 15 within feet of the pin. A hole that has given a lot of players a lot of trouble proves to be no problem for him.

9:36 a.m.: Woods bogeys on No. 17, making that shot on 15 that much more important. He goes into No. 18 2 over, hoping to have a shot to make the cut.

9:19 a.m.: No matter what, Woods gets the biggest cheers. He two-putts on No. 16 to save a very difficult par. Tiger will head into 17 with a good chance of playing through the weekend.

9:05 a.m.: So much for laying up! Tiger hits a clutch birdie to move at 1-over par and give himself some breathing room agains the cut. Small fist pump from him and he knows the gravity of that shot.

9 a.m.: Tiger VERY nearly recreated an iconic moment. He hits the stick here on No. 15 and, despite a tough roll, gets a huge round of applause. The broadcast shows Tiger's similar shot 10 years ago, although that ball ended up in the water.

8:57 a.m.: Tiger seems to be content looking for par today. He lays up again on No. 15. He's been even on his past six holes.

8:47 a.m.: Woods does save par on No. 14, continuing his streak of even scores. He stays at 2-over, right at the cut line. It's been anything but easy, but he's hanging around.

8:45 a.m.: Tiger has a nice shot back onto the green to give himself an opportunity for par. He didn't go too far as is the risk on this hole.

8:40 a.m.: Woods shoots long on No. 14 and skips out the back of the green. He'll have to do some work to save par. Hovland comes up short on the same hole.

8:29 am.: Woods comes up just short on a putt for birdie on 13. The wet conditions could be affecting his putting. But he has to settle for par once again.

8:11 a.m.: Woods is continuing to quest for the cut here at Augusta, as he hits in for par. Woods has six holes left on the day.

8:04 a.m.: Play has resumed at Augusta National, and Woods has teed off. He starts the day at 2-over par, right around the cut line.

Friday, April 7

5:45 p.m.: Official statement from Augusta National confirms no injuries from the tree collapses that occurred due to high winds. Play was suspended, with the second round scheduled to resume at 8 a.m. Saturday.

4:23 p.m.: The horn is sounded once again. Play is being suspended. Players headed back to the clubhouse.

4:22 p.m.: And he sinks the putt. He remains at +2.

4:15 p.m.: Looks like Woods playing for yet another par. Hasn't failed him yet, although you'd have to imagine that he'd prefer to be a little further above the cut line. Won't be the easiest putt but he's been better on the green than yesterday so far.

4:06 p.m.: Deft drive for Woods on Hole No. 11. That should set him up nicely.

4:03 p.m.: Tiger sinks his par putt, keeping him right on the cut line.

4:00 p.m.: Third shot falls ever so short for Woods. He'll try to save another par here.

3:54 p.m.: Woods places his second shot on the green. Some ways away from the hole, although you never know with Tiger.

3:48 p.m.: Brilliant tee shot for Woods on Hole No. 10.

3:43 p.m.: Beautiful recovery chip by Woods, who saves par to stay at +2.

3:39 p.m.: So unlucky for Woods! His wedge appeared to be destined for good positioning on the green. That is until the wind blew it down back onto the fairway. The ninth hole is a real challenge.

3:34 p.m.: Tiger opens the ninth hole with a decent drive. He'll be hoping to stay underneath that cut line.

3:29 p.m.: Horn sounded and we're back!

3:23 p.m.: They are back in action at Augusta. A brief 15-minute respite. How relaxing.

3:09 p.m.: Horn sounded here at Augusta. Play has been suspended for the time being, with players headed to the clubhouse. Looks like a great many fans are evacuating, although some are staying on the course as well.

2:59 p.m.: Woods makes up for a looping drive, getting himself in decent shape with the three-iron. He's on the cusp of the green.

2:50 p.m.: Drop shot puts Woods behind the cut line for the first time in the day. He's at +3.

2:45 p.m.: Oof. Chip attempt skews way too fast on the grass, ending up in the gallery. Woods might be on pace for a sub-optimal score here.

2:42 p.m.: Bit of a safe play for Woods, who opts to slip a shot back onto the fairway rather than go for the green. He'll be hoping for another par here, you'd have to imagine.

2:35 p.m.: Bad bounce on the tee shot on Hole No. 7. That lands in the rough. Woods struggled on this target yesterday, recording a bogey. Seems he might be on pace for a similar score this time around.

2:31 p.m.: Big miss by Woods, who slices his birdie attempt just wide. He'll have to take the par there. But it could have been so much more.

2:23 p.m.: Woods almost sinks the hole in one on the par three. Brilliant effort with the iron. He's in great position to grab a birdie.

2:19 p.m.: Great two putt by Woods, who keeps his card clean through five holes. He's projected to make it to the weekend at this rate.

2:17 p.m.: Challenging putt on the third stroke. Woods got his shot uphill, but had to overcompensate to get it over the knoll. He'll look for par.

2:10 p.m.: Decent strike to get himself back on the green. It won't be the easiest of two putts, admittedly. But he gives himself a chance at salvaging a par with that second shot.

2:03 p.m.: Gnarly tee shot to start Hole No. 5 for Woods. Veered way right and landed in the peanut gallery. He's got some work to do now.

2:00 p.m.: Woods saves par again. His putt on four looked far stronger than ones he had put down earlier in the competition.

1:51 p.m.: Three-iron for Woods. Not the perfect opening drive by any means, but it's on the cusp of the green. Raindrops starting to descend on Augusta National.

1:48 p.m.: Birdie attempt goes awry for Woods, stopping a few feet from the target. He'll have to settle for par once again.

1:41 p.m.: Bad bounce for Woods but it settles down ever so slightly to stay on the green. If that had gone another way, he could be looking at a really crooked number on Hole No. 3.

1:32 p.m.: Another par for Woods on Hole No. 2. He'll stay at +2. The cut has rose to +2 however, so as it stands, Woods would stay in the competition for the weekend.

1:28 p.m.: Woods leaves his fourth attempt too short. He'll try to salvage par here, matching his score from Thursday on the hole.

1:23 p.m.: Touch shot falls short on his third attempt. Woods still has a chance on the Par 5, but it's going to be a challenge to cut into that score.

1:18 p.m.: Hooking stinger brings Woods back on the course on stroke No. 2.

1:12 p.m.: Three wood for Woods. His drive on Hole No. 2 veers a bit wide. He'll lag a bit behind Hovland and Schauffele, both of whom placed their shots more centrally on the fairway.

1:10 p.m.: Tiger saves par with the two putt. He's one stroke off the cut line.

1:06 p.m.: Woods pulls his birdie attempt ever so wide. He'll hope to bag a par on stroke four.

1:03 p.m.: Woods places his attempt right on the green. It'll be interesting to see if he changes his approach to putting today; that's where the majority of his issues stemmed from yesterday.

12:59 p.m.: Another thing to note: Woods swapped his mock tee for a more comfortable polo shirt. He'll be hoping for added mobility with the swap.

12:56 p.m.: Woods' tees off from the first hole, using the three wood. First drive is a good attempt, plopping down the field at a good angle.

12:33 p.m.: Tiger is on the prowl! 20 minutes from tee time.

12:16 p.m.: Tiger fit check! Tiger fit check! Looks like the choice for today is a mock t-shirt. Form is temporary, drip is eternal. Let's see if the shirt change gets him in a groove.

12:06 p.m.: Yum! Now I'm hungry.

11:54 a.m.: About an hour away from Woods, Hovland and Schauffele's listed tee time. Here's how the top-five is looking at the moment: Brooks Koepka (-11), Jason Day (-7), Viktor Hovland (-7), Jon Rahm (-7), Collin Morikawa (-6)
