Dustin Johnson's withdrawal due to a back injury has opened the door for other golfers to challenge for the Green Jacket atop the 2017 Masters leaderboard.

It's crowded at the top as Charley Hoffman, Sergio Garcia, Rickie Fowler and Thomas Pieters are all tied for the lead at 4-under in Round 2.

Hoffman came into the day with a 4-stroke lead but finished the day with a 3-over 75 open the door for others to challenge him for the lead.

Fowler led the field Friday, finishing the day with a 5-under 67. Fowler avoided trouble all day, hitting par or better on all but one hole (bogey on No.15). Fowler made one of the day's most impressive shots when he holed out of the bunker for eagle on No. 18.

Phil Mickelson (E) had a good start Friday but struggled on the back nine as he bogeyed on four of his last six holes. Other notables like Jordan Spieth (E), and Rory McIlroy (+1), who is now the odds-on favorite to win the Masters , all are a little ways off the pace after up-and-down performances in Round 1 and 2. Jason Day (+6) just made the cut.

The first pairing teed off at 8 a.m. ET on Friday and the final group went out at 2:03 p.m.

You can watch the Masters on TV or stream online, but you should also follow the action with our live Masters leaderboard below and video highlights with updates a little farther below.

Fowler also made an impressive on Friday when he holed out of the bunker for eagle on No. 18.

This 30-foot, downhill put by Martin Kaymer was great, too.
