Tiger Woods is one of the greatest golfers to play the game, and one needs only look to his success at the Masters to illustrate that.
Woods has won golf's most prestigious major five times. That's the second-most in tournament history behind only another all-time great, Jack Nicklaus.
Since debuting as an amateur at the Masters in 1991, Woods has almost always played into the weekend. He missed the tournament a few times due to injury and missed the cut in his first appearance as a professional in 1992, but since then, he has never failed to play on the weekend if at the tournament.
And even in his age-48 season, Woods shows he's still got it. Woods went 1 over during the first round of the 2024 Masters Tournament. He was then an impressive even par in the second round, not only keeping him well below the cut line but tying him for 29th by the time his round concluded.

Making the cut at the Masters has become commonplace for Woods, and he now has the record to show it. In each of his past 24 appearances at Augusta National, Woods has made the cut. That streak of 24 cuts made officially gives him the record, surpassing a tie he had with Fred Couples and Gary Player.
Here's what to know about Tiger Woods' Masters history after he broke the Augusta National record for consecutive cuts made at the major tournament.
Most consecutive cuts made at the Masters
Woods has made the cut at the Masters 24 consecutive times. That set the record for the most in tournament history, surpassing Couples and Player, two other green-jacket winners, the former of whom is playing at the major in 2024. Couples and Player each had 23.
Below is a look at the players who have made the cut at the Masters at least 13 consecutive times, per the major's official website.

It will be tough for any player to catch up to Woods, but Adam Scott is at least within striking distance. The 43-year-old Australian won the Masters in 2013 and has five career top-10 finishes at it.
Should Woods miss the cut in 2025 and Scott make it, that would set up an intriguing career goal for Scott, who could use his tournament eligibility to try to chase down Woods, Couples and Player's record.

Woods will hope to add another solid, under-par score to his career history at Augusta in 2024. But at the very least, he would like to avoid withdrawing from the competition for a second consecutive year.
