Masters prop bets 2024: Best bets to make or miss cut, top LIV golfer, Tiger picks, golf parlays and more image

The first full week of April is a wonderful time to be a golf enthusiast. It's an even better time to be a sports bettor. The Masters, the biggest event in non-team sports, has arrived. For prop bettors, it's Christmas in early spring.

Betting on the outright winner of the Masters is just the tip of the iceberg. The real value — the meat on the bones of major championship betting, if you will — comes from the props you find when you dive deeper into the offerings of sportsbooks like DraftKings and FanDuel.

Props also provide a ton of fun! Whether you bet certain players to make or miss the cut, back one of your favorites to beat a fellow golfer head-to-head, or go after some exotic long shots, there seems to be something for every kind of golf fan and bettor.

As you can see, we're pretty excited about this weekend — and we can't wait to make some money on the prop market as we enjoy the greatest golf tournament in the world. Come join us in the fun! Here's our favorite FanDuel and DraftKings prop bets for the 2024 Masters.

Masters props 2024: Best bets to make cut

Tiger Woods (-104 on FanDuel)

We promise we're not just Tiger superfans — this also happens to be one of the best value bets you could make this weekend.

Yes, health is a concern, but he has NEVER missed a cut at the Masters. Woods could probably play Augusta blindfold, that's how well he knows his way around the azaleas and pines.

Ok, so Woods himself didn't exactly offer a ringing endorsement of his health when speaking at his Masters press conference on Tuesday. "I hurt every day. I ache every day... The ankle doesn't hurt anymore. It's fused, that's not going anywhere. It's other parts of my body that now have to take the brunt of it. The back, the knee, other parts of the body."

And yet in that same press conference, Woods still feels confident about his chances. "I think I can get one more."

Listen, we're not betting on Tiger to take home another green jacket. But again: he's has never missed a cut at the Masters, he's going for a tournament-record 24th consecutive made cut, and he showed up to Augusta bright and early at 8:00 a.m. on Monday.

The five-time Masters champ seems focused on getting off to a good start, something he has done so many times throughout his illustrious career. Getting -104 odds here seems like a gift.

Phil Mickelson (+116 on FanDuel

Now we're just coming off as sentimental! Betting on Lefty in his age-53 Masters — are we crazy!? Crazy like a fox. In fact, we would venture to say that anyone doubting Mickelson's ability to make the cut is crazier.

The veteran pro will be making his 31st Masters appearance and vying to join Jack Nicklaus, Tiger, and Arnold Palmer as the only golfers to win more than three green jackets. He almost pulled it off last year at 52 years old, carding a final-round 65 to finish tied for second.

Mickelson has finished inside the top five at Augusta National a whopping 12 times, a feat that only he, Nicklaus, and Tiger have achieved in their careers. Similar to Woods, betting on Mickelson is more about his familiarity with the course than his recent form.

Bet against Lefty at your own risk — he'll be there on Day 3.

Masters props 2024: Best bets to miss cut

Charl Schwartzel (-125 on DraftKings)

The winner of the 2011 Masters, Schwartzel has a lifetime invitation to Augusta just like Woods and Mickelson. However, we're not nearly as confident in the 40-year-old South African's chances this weekend.

Schwartzel is two years removed from his last Masters appearance, he has missed three of his past seven Masters cuts, and he has finished 50th or worse in five of the 11 years since he won his green jacket.

Additionally, the LIV defector hasn't looked great this year. He has finished T37 or worse in four of his five LIV 2024 appearances. For context, 53 players finished LIV Miami. Bet Schwartzel to miss the cut.

Masters props 2024: Top head-to-head bet

Collin Morikawa over Justin Thomas (-110 on DraftKings)

We always seem to get behind Morikawa at this time of year — but honestly, who can blame us? He has tremendous tee-to-green, approach, and scrambling skills, and always seems to get hot in the biggest pressure spots.

Morikawa has finished 18th or better in each of his past three Masters starts, including top-10 finishes in each of the last two years. He has shot even par or better in six of his past nine rounds at Augusta National.

Thomas, meanwhile, seems to have fizzled out. He missed the cut at last year's Masters for the first time in his career, and proceeded to finish T65 at the PGA Championship and miss the cut at the U.S. Open and the Open.

Thomas had a couple strong finishes earlier this season, but he's back to the struggle-bus recently with two missed cuts over his past four appearances and most recently a T64 at the Valspar Championship.

Masters props 2024: Top player prop parlays

Scottie Scheffler and Jon Rahm both finish in the top 10 (+250)

DraftKings always has some cool finish parlays, and we fell in love with this one the moment we saw it. Scheffler remains the most dominant golfer and ice-in-the-veins major competitor in the world and Rahm will be defending his 2023 Masters championship. And we get +250 odds!? Brilliant!

Scheffler has two tournament wins this season already and has a green jacket to his name already, while Rahm has enjoyed a strong year on the LIV tour. Both have stellar ball-striking skills and dominate with their greens-in-regulation numbers. We can't imagine a better finish parlay than Scheffler and Rahm.

Scheffler (+120) over Rory McIlroy (+190) and Xander Schauffele (+225)

McIlroy and Schauffele are obviously two of the best golfers in the world, but Scheffler is in a whole different stratosphere. Nobody has a better all-around skill set, mindset, or ability to adapt to any situation in front of him.

While we wouldn't bet Scheffler +450 to win the tournament — outright odds that short yield no value whatsoever — we would absolutely hammer him at +120 to finish with a lower score than McIlroy and Schauffele.

Masters props 2024: Top LIV golfer

Jon Rahm (+260)

It's easy to overthink this one because of Brooks Koepka's past major championship success or the existence of Bryson DeChambeau, Joaquin Niemann, Dustin Johnson, and Cam Smith.

However, a quick look at Rahm's highlight-reel finish as the 2023 Masters champion is all one needs to reassure themself of Rahm's status as the best bet.

The Spaniard is one of the best in the world, and easily one of the most laid-back under pressure. Rahm's long off the tee and elite when it comes to putting, and he's finished in the top 10 in five of his past six Masters starts. What more do you need to know!?
