Weather doesn't care whether you're a multi-billionaire owner, an elementary school teacher, a blue collar worker or a sports legend. It impacts everyone the same.
That's the case with Hurricane Helene.
The devastating Category 4 hurricane tore through the Gulf Coast up into the Appalachian region late last week. Florida was expected to take the brunt of the force from the storm, and the state did just so, as well as Georgia, North Carolina and South Carolina. At least 125 people died as a result of the storm and over four million people were without power, according to NBC News.
One of those impacted by Hurricane Helene was golf legend John Daly. The Florida resident discussed how his home in Clearwater was impacted by the weather.

"Total loss and devastation after living here all my life! I still cannot imagine ALL we have lost, but we are SAFE and all can be replaced! Praise God!"
He also confirmed the news in an interview with the PGA Champions Tour.
"I feel for everybody, I'm surprised we didn't lose more people," Daly said. "It's sad for the ones that we did. It's devastating. It's the worst I've ever seen. Hope everybody gets safe and gets their homes back. My heart goes out to everybody."
