Just 18 holes remain in this year's British Open, held amid the natural beauty of Scotland's Royal Troon.
Round 3 proved a captivating affair, with the course embracing some and scorning others.
Shane Lowry was dealt the latter's fate, tumbling down the leaderboard Saturday after posting a 6-over-par 77. The Irishman, who entered the day at the head of the pack, struggled to find his rhythm throughout the day, seeing attempt after attempt miss the target.
Billy Horschel was the biggest beneficiary as he seeks the first major title of his career. Horschel carded a 2-under-par 69, bringing his score to 4-under. In the process, he took sole possession of first place, one stroke in front of Thriston Lawrence, Sam Burns, Xander Schauffele, Russell Henley, Justin Rose and Daniel Brown.
There's plenty of talent joining Horschel and his nearest competitors at the top, including Lowry (-1) and Scottie Scheffler (-2).
Who will come out on top when the dust settles? Only time will tell. We'll all be watching Sunday to see who can get their mitts on the Claret Jug.
