Rafael Nadal and Novak Djokovic have both overcome scares to progress through to the men's singles quarter-finals at the French Open.
Nadal, who is on track to secure a 14th title at Roland Garos, ran down an early lead to Jannik Sinner to eventually dismiss the Italian 7-5, 6-3, 6-0.
The straight-sets victory took Nadal's tally to consecutive sets won at the French Open on his favoured clay surface to 35.
The win came after Nadal made mid-match complaints about the brightness on court in the late-afternoon, with a combination of sunshine, shadows and the artificial lights, which were installed last year, proving a distraction for the Spaniard.
Nadal will now feature in his 15th French Open quarter finals, with a semi-finals match-up with Djokovic looming.
Meanwhile, Djokovic appeared in trouble early against 19-year-old Italian Lorenzo Musetti, who stunned the world No. 1 to claim the opening two sets in tiebreakers.
From there he clawed his way back though, with Musetti winning just 18 points in the next three sets before retiring hurt in the final set with Djokovic leading 6-7 (7), 6-7 (2), 6-1, 6-0, 4-0.
One of Djokovic's shot in the final set has left tennis fans in disbelief, with the Serb getting horizontal on the baseline diving for a forehand to stay in a rally.
And so I found THAT incredibly insane shot in gif form when Djokovic kicked off the 5th set in his #RolandGarros match against youngun Musetti 😅. I could watch it on repeat and still don’t make sense of it all 😂 pic.twitter.com/LHiSXFiOwJ https://t.co/lYXOEXQwbY

Meanwhile, 2020 French Open champion Iga Swiatek is on track to reclaim the women's title after she accounted for Marta Kostyuk in straight sets, 6-3, 6-4.
