Drivers will complete just 19 laps in what is set to be a fast-paced and frantic battle.
Daniel Ricciardo impressed in the 'Shootout' and will start from P4, while fellow countryman Oscar Piastri will begin from P6.
Sprints typically take just over 30 minutes to complete, but no longer than an hour.

The teams will be back on track at 6:00 am AEST on Sunday, May 5 for qualifying.
This session will follow the normal full-length knockout format, with drivers fighting for a good grid spot for the main race.
