After a four-week summer break, Formula 1 is back in action. 

Zandvoort has been a sea of Orange this weekend with local star Max Verstappen returning to the Netherlands for the Dutch Grand Prix.

The Red Bull star and championship leader will be looking to secure his ninth consecutive win as he begins Sunday's race from pole position.

As for the Australians, Oscar Piastri with be starting from P8 on the grid, while Daniel Ricciardo is absent due to an injury.

F1 Dutch Grand Prix: Race start time in Australia

It will be a late night for Australian fans tuning into Sunday's race, with the start time scheduled for 11:00 pm AEST on August 27. 

Drivers will complete 72 laps around the Zandvoort track, with Verstappen the heavy favourite to win his home race for the third time in a row. 

British pair Lando Norris and George Russell sit behind the Dutchman, racing for McLaren and Mercedes, respectively.

What happened to Daniel Ricciardo? Australian missing from Dutch F1 Grand Prix after crash

Ricciardo suffered a hand injury following a crash in practice as Zandvoort, with hospital results showing he had broken a metacarpal in his left hand.

A broken metacarpal can take between three and eight weeks to heal.

He is unlikely to need surgery but will require strapping during his recovery, his hand having been initially placed in a sling.

Reserve driver and Red Bull junior Liam Lawson has since stepped in to replace Ricciardo at AlphaTauri for the Dutch Grand Prix.
