After a long period without any Australians in the Serie A, the last couple of seasons have seen a stronger presence.
Key Socceroo Ajdin Hrustic is plying his trade for Hellas Verona and will hope for a break from injury after only making six league appearances last season after ankle surgery.
Sydney-born Cristian Volpato has made the move to Sassuolo from Roma in search of first-team football, and should figure regularly.

Despite Napoli winning the title last season, Inter Milan have been installed as championship favourites following their run to the Champions League final in 2022-23.
Napoli are also expected to figure in the title race, with Juventus and AC Milan expected to be contenders also.
Hrustic's Verona is expected to be involved in a relegation battle, while Volpato's Sassuolo are tipped for the bottom half of the table.
