Where are the Matildas playing tonight? Stadium, location for Australia vs. England

Stadium Australia will host Wednesday night's semifinal blockbuster between Australia and England.

Located in Sydney, Australia, it is part of the Sydney Olympic Park complex, which is nearest to the suburb of Homebush.

The stadium was built for the Olympic Games in 2000, where it hosted the opening and closing ceremonies, along with the track and field events.

It is the largest of the 10 venues selected for the 2023 World Cup, followed by the 56,581-seater Brisbane Stadium.

FIFA reconfigured the 83,500-seater stadium at Olympic Park for this tournament — notably making room for a prominent media tribune — which has reduced the number of seats available.

A record-breaking 75,784 fans packed out the venue for the Matildas' opener against Ireland as well as their Round of 16 clash with Denmark.
