What about a Darling Harbour World Cup live site?
In 2010, Darling Harbour became a designated live site for World Cup matches after the popularity of 2006.
It made for a unique fan experience but unfortunately there are no plans at this stage for anything like it for 2022.
When are the Socceroos playing at the World Cup?
So when it comes to Socceroos games at the 2022 World Cup, it's a pretty mixed bag.
Australia will kickoff the tournament against reigning champions France on Wednesday, November 23 at 6:00 a.m. (AEDT).
The Socceroos will then play a make-or-break match against Tunisia on Saturday, November 26 at 9:00 p.m. (AEDT). This is a game Australia will likely need to win to keep their hopes of progression alive and the timing is ideal for fans looking to go out and watch it.
Another reason to get out of the house to watch the Tunisia game is that the Socceroos final group match against Denmark kicks off at 2:00 a.m. (AEDT) on Thursday, December 1.
If Australia were to make the knockout stages, games would then be played at either 2:00 a.m. or 6:00 a.m. (AEDT).
