Man United vs Leeds United lineups

Ten Hag looked to blend his established stars with emerging young talent during preseason, with the Dutch coach prepared to give academy players a chance to impress this summer.

Mason Mount started and Tom Heaton began preseason as No.1 following the departure of long-serving David de Gea, while Lisandro Martinez made his long-awaited return from an injury that had kept him out since April.

Farke's arrival has created confidence over Leeds being able to push for immediate Premier League promotion with minimal changes to the squad, as the German won two Championship titles during his time at Norwich.

The coach selected a strong starting XI in this tie, with Luis Sinisterra among his starters.

Leeds United (4-2-3-1, right to left): Klaesson (GK) – Hjelde, Drameh, Cooper, Mullen – Gyabi, Shackleton – Greenwood, Poveda, Sinisterra – Rutter
