New Celtic coach Ange Postecoglou has participated in a brilliant initiative which has seen the Australian mic'd up during training with his players.

The former Socceroos boss can be seen in his natural coaching environment, getting heavily involved in the training session by barking orders and words of encouragement - including a few expletives.

Postecoglou was initially a controversial appointment at the Scottish giants , having been poached from J-League side Yokohama F.Marinos and his previous coaching experience coming in Australia's A-League and his native national team.

There was plenty of scepticism from Hoops fans on social media , while there was talks of a season ticket boycott from some supporters factions, with the club also reeling from the loss of the Scottish title to rivals Rangers.

But Postecoglou has been extremely accessible to the club's faithful since his arrival last month, participating in several interviews, and now allowing his training sessions to be scrutinised.

One of the features of Postecoglou's training methods is his constant desire for the team to move the ball quickly in an attacking fashion.

Despite his impressing coaching style, football pundit Noel Whelan believes Postecoglou could sacked by Christmas if things don't work out in Glasgow - citing the 12-month length of the Australian's contract at the club.

"There is going to be question marks from the get go,” Whelan told Football Insider.

"If he does not hit the ground running he is going to come in for it, simple. That is what happens when you take over at a club like Celtic.

"The fact that the club only gave him a rolling one-year contract speaks volumes. They are not clearly convinced either. If Postecoglou had the full backing of the board he would have been given a three-year contract.

"He has got a lot of work to do to convince the players and to convince the fans.

"If there is a sizeable gap between themselves and Rangers at Christmas time you could see the club start looking for a replacement. It would not surprise me.

"Postecoglou is a relative unknown at the end of the day so he will come under criticism. It was a shock to everybody when he was appointed."
