Australia will welcome more Premier League teams Down Under in 2023 with Tottenham and West Ham confirmed for pre-season trips.

Despite its inconvenient location, high-profile clubs have made a habit of visiting Australia in recent years with Manchester United and Barcelona among those that visited in 2022.

It's a big year for football in Australia with the country set to co-host the Women's World Cup in July alongside New Zealand.

But before that, two English giants will make their way Down Under as Aussies get the rare chance to watch them in the flesh.

Tottenham's return to Australia is arguably overdue with the club's last visit dating back to July 2016.

Spurs played two games in Melbourne that year as part of the International Champions Cup, losing to both Juventus and Atletico Madrid.

Tottenham also came Down Under in 2015 when they beat Sydney FC 1-0 in front of over 70,000 fans.

West Ham were supposed to play in Australia in 2020 but had to cancel due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Prior to that, the Hammers did play across the ditch in New Zealand in 2014 - notably losing to both Wellington Phoenix and Sydney FC.
