We have reached the knockout stage of the 2023 Women's World Cup, with Australia to face Denmark in the Round of 16 tonight.

It wasn't all smooth sailing for the Matildas in their opening matches, but they were able to top their group and book a date with the Danes.

With the likes of the United States, Germany, Brazil and Canada already eliminated, a quarterfinal berth will be very enticing in a wide-open draw.

Where are the Matildas playing tonight? Stadium, location for Australia vs. Denmark

Stadium Australia will host tonight's do-or-die match between Australia and Denmark.

Located in Sydney, Australia, it is part of the Sydney Olympic Park complex, which is nearest to the suburb of Homebush.

The stadium was built for the Olympic Games in 2000, where it hosted the opening and closing ceremonies, along with the track and field events.

It is the largest of the 10 venues selected for the 2023 World Cup, followed by the 56,581-seater Brisbane Stadium.

FIFA reconfigured the 83,500-seater stadium at Olympic Park for this tournament — notably making room for a prominent media tribune — which has reduced the number of seats available.

A record-breaking 75,784 fans packed out the same venue on the opening day of the tournament for Australia's 1-0 victory over the Republic of Ireland, with a similar crowd expected on Monday evening.
