Football broadcast favourites Tara Rushton and Simon Hill will lead ViacomCBS' coverage of the A-Leagues, Socceroos, Matildas and FFA Cup matches for the upcoming season.

Rushton and Hill, who worked in tandem at Fox Sports for a number of years, will be the lead host and game caller respectively in an impressive team put together for Network 10 and Paramount+'s coverage.

Games will also be hosted by Niav Owens, who presented matches during Optus Sport's Euro 2020 coverage and 10Sport presenter Scott Mackinnon.

Hill and Andy Harper will be the main match commentators, as seen together recently for Socceroos matches on Network 10, with a number of other game callers still be announced to deal with the huge amount of games to be broadcast as part of Viacom CBS' landmark rights deal signed in May.

Special comments will be provided by a wide array of talent including Archie Thompson, Mark Milligan, Georgia Yeoman-Dale, Bruce Djite, Alex Brosque, Amy Chapman and Luke Wilkshire.

After joining Fox Sports' football coverage in 2013, Rushton excelled as a presenter in the sport and was delighted to remain working in football as part of ViacomCBS' team.

"Football is my passion, and I am fortunate to have spent the last decade of my career immersed in the sport," Rushton said.

"I am grateful and excited to continue my work in football with 10 and Paramount+ and the team being assembled. I am really looking forward to the new season ahead."

Thompson is another talent who has made the move from Fox Sports to the new football broadcaster.

The former Melbourne Victory star has become a favourite for expert commentary with his blunt, honesty delivery of his opinions.

"I couldn’t be more excited to start this new role with 10 ViacomCBS, they have some fresh and exciting plans for broadcast that I think the fans are really going to love," Thompson said.

"The A-Leagues competition is set to be epic with some huge player signings. Bring on the new era of Australian football!"

Viacom CBS will be broadcasting the next two Socceroos World Cup qualifiers against Saudi Arabia (November 11) and China (November 16).

After that international break, the A-League Men's competition will kickoff on November 19, while the A-League Women league starts on December 3.
