It's not just the Socceroos at the World Cup for Australian football fans to look forward to in November - the Sydney Super Cup featuring two British powerhouses will also be on the menu.

In a little under a month, Ange Postecoglou's Celtic and Frank Lampard's Everton will travel Down Under for matches against A-League Men clubs Sydney FC and Western Sydney Wanderers.

First up, Sydney FC will host Celtic at the new Allianz Stadium on November 17, before Everton and Celtic will square off at Accor Stadium three days later.

The tournament will wrap up with Everton and the Wanderers duelling it out on November 23 at CommBank Stadium.

Celtic boss Postecoglou is excited to bring his team to his home country and promised they would perform at their best - unlike other big teams that have come to Australia in the past.

"I just think it (Sydney Super Cup) comes along at a really good time," Postecoglou told The Sporting News last month.

It's always great to have a change of environment when you're in the midst of competition so being on this side of the world and playing against a couple of good sides...it will be great for our guys.

"I've obviously lived on this side (Australia) of the world for a long time and I've seen a lot of clubs from overseas come here and sometimes have walked away feeling let down that maybe the level of performance isn't what it should be.

"Well, I'm determined that won't be the case with us. We'll come here and play at our best so people can see what we're all about."

When is the Sydney Super Cup?

With the 2022 World Cup in Qatar set to pause club football later this year, the Sydney Super Cup will fill some of that void.

The tournament will begin on November 17 and finish six days later on November 23.

The World Cup kicks off on November 20 (local time) with Australia playing France in their group opener on the morning of November 23 (AEDT).

All three Sydney Super Cup matches will be played at different venues with Accor Stadium set to welcome the biggest possible crowd.

Date (AEDT) Time (AEDT) Match Stadium

Sunday, November 20 19:30 Everton vs. Celtic  Accor Stadium
Wednesday, November 23 19:45 Everton vs. Western Sydney Wanderers CommBank Stadium
