Both the United Arab Emirates and Peru have finalised their preparations for upcoming World Cup play-offs.
The Socceroos will need to beat both nations to secure their place in Qatar after finishing third in their qualifying group.
Australia will first face the UAE in Qatar on June 7 and while the Socceroos sit higher in the world rankings, their opponents are set to give themselves the best chance of an upset.
Rodolfo Arruabarrena's side will assemble for a national camp from May 24 with a friendly against an unconfirmed national team to be played by the end of that month.
All up, the UAE will have two weeks to prepare for their must-win match against Australia and most recently claimed a 1-0 victory against South Korea.
In another boost, star player Omar Abdulrahman is back playing after injury and looks set to earn a recall based on current form.

Should Australia manage to defeat the UAE, they'll still need to beat Peru a week later with the South American outfit also locking in some ideal preparation plans for the play-off.
Peru will face New Zealand in Barcelona on June 5 before a behind-closed-doors friendly match in Qatar four days later.
They'll then face either Australia or the UAE in Qatar on June 13 or 14 with a place at the 2022 World Cup up for grabs.
What are the Socceroos' play-off plans?
While both the UAE and Peru have confirmed their schedule for the May/June window, Australia is yet to do the same.
Graham Arnold's side will likely follow a similar path to the UAE by assembling in Qatar by the end of May to acclimatise to the hot conditions.
A friendly match would also be vital and could involve a South American nation if the Socceroos want to prepare in advance for Peru.
Colombia loom as one ideal opponent and will be in Asia at the time for friendly games against Malaysia and Brazil.
Chile are also rumoured to be an option with their plans around that time currently unclear.
Australia need to quickly find some form having won just one of their last seven games and failed to score in their past two matches.
