Socceroos coach Graham Arnold will be sweating on the fitness of star midfielder Tom Rogic after he was forced off during Celtic's 4-0 win over Ross County on Sunday morning (AEDT).
Rogic was substituted in the 33rd minute of the clash after being on the receiving end of a red-card challenge from Kayne Ramsay.
The Hoops were already 3-0 up at the time as Ange Postecoglou's side picked up another three points that cements their place at the top of the Scottish Premiership.
Already missing a number of players for crucial World Cup qualifiers this month, Arnold will be hoping Rogic is able to back up on Thursday night against Japan.
Postecoglou looked to downplay concerns slightly after the match but only time will tell if the midfielder's ankle will hold up.
"Tom's a bit sore. Hopefully it's not too bad and now he's away with the national team. We will see how he is," Postecoglou said post-match.
"He got a knock on his ankle and it isn't great but we got the ice on him at half-time and we seem to think it isn't too bad."

Celtic's win over Ross County temporarily opened up a six-point gap to second-placed Rangers, who play Dundee on Sunday.
Postecoglou joked he's unlikely to watch the match as he focuses on family and his own team's performances.
"My Sundays are dictated by my wife and kids mate. If Sing 2 is on, I'll have to fight for the remote control," he said.
"We’ve had a couple of tough away trips recently where we’ve done well in the defensive side of the game but at home we want more opportunism to be aggressive on the ball and I thought we were.
“It was good and it’s not always easy when you’re well ahead and they go own to ten men but we had real intent and were patient and kept our discipline.
"Credit to them it’s been a great couple of performances and we capped it off tonight with another dominant one."
