Sam Kerr knocks over pitch invader, gets booked for it in Chelsea's Champions League draw image

Matildas star Sam Kerr pushed over a pitch invader and was booked for it in an extraordinary incident during Chelsea's Champions League match against Juventus.

During the match at Kingsmeadow on Thursday morning (AEDT), Kerr shoulder barged the pitch invader as he was trying to take a photo with Chelsea defender Magda Eriksson.

Despite helping security guards catch the pesky intruder, Kerr wasn't shown any appreciation by the referee, who promptly gave her a yellow card for her aggressive action toward the pitch invader.

The rest of the match was also a frustrating affair as Chelsea could only draw 0-0 with Juventus - who are coached by Australian tactician Joe Montemurro.

Kerr was heavily involved in the match, striking the post in the first half with a cross-shot, while also squandering two other chances in the early part of the contest.

Chelsea still top their Champions League group with one match remaining and they need a draw in their final game against Wolfsburg on December 17 to guarantee qualification for the knockout stage.
