The Olyroos suffered a late 1-0 loss against Spain on Sunday night with fans once again left scrambling when it came to watching the match.

Originally expected to be broadcast on free-to-air television in Australia via 7Mate, the game was moved channels up to three times depending on which state fans were watching from.

That juggle often occurred mid-game with fans forced to use their own athletic reflexes to ensure they didn't miss any of the action.

Channel Seven were slammed on Saturday night after some viewers missed the Matildas' opening goal in a 4-2 loss against Sweden and while no Olyroos goal were missed this time around, fans were left equally as frustrated.

Streaming service 7Plus offers a dedicated international stream of Australia's matches and looms as the best way for fans to avoid the channel changes moving forward.

The Olyroos put in a spirited effort against a star-studded Spain but were ultimately undone by a header from Mikel Oyarzabal in the final 10 minutes.

After beating Argentina 2-0 in their opening game, Australia can seal their spot in the quarter-finals with a draw against Egypt on Wednesday night.

Graham Arnold's side will be without three key players for the match however after they all picked up their second yellow cards of the tournament on Sunday.
