Magic Mike Maignan saves a penalty from Kvicha Kvaratskhelia to help AC Milan progress to the Champions League semi-final after they beat Napoli 2-1 on aggregate.

Olivier Giroud missed a penalty of his own before scoring the all important goal for the visitors just before half-time. Rafael Leao went on a brilliant solo-run to assist the striker.

Napoli were given a lifeline in the 82nd minute when Fikayo Tomori gave away a penalty, but Maignan showed his worth and saved the spot kick.

Victor Osimhen claimed a late consolation as he powered a header past Maignan, but it was too little too late for Luciano Spalletti's side.

Milan will face either Inter Milan or Benfica in their first Champions League semi-final since 2007, when they went all the way in the competition.

Napoli will be disappointed not to go further in the competition, but their pain will be eased by knowing they are close to ending a 33-year Serie A title drought.
