The Western Australian club, which sacked Alistair Edwards and replaced him with Lowe 12 months ago, finished eighth last season.
Fast forward one year and the team from nib Stadium are seven points clear at the top of the table following a hard-fought 1-1 draw away to Melbourne City.
"There's a numerous amount of factors," Lowe told journalists when asked about the secrets of his success.
"We've got new coaching staff, new players. The same harmony's there, no-one believed me. We're scoring goals, doing better away from home.
"It's mindset. People have got a choice. You can walk into work in the morning and either be happy or unhappy. You can actually decide that. Our players have made a conscious choice to be harder to beat away from home and score more goals.
"I wouldn't say get inside their heads. We had a chat and it was obvious, so that's what we're doing. Hopefully long may it continue."
The Glory are back in Victoria next Friday for a game against second-placed Melbourne Victory in Geelong, followed by the visit of third-placed Adelaide to Perth on January 5.
They will then have three weeks off during the Asian Cup, before a re-match at home to Victory on January 25, a sequence of games that could see Lowe's team take a stranglehold on the Premier's Plate if they earn maximum points.
The coach confirmed his squad would enjoy a short break before resuming an intensive training program ahead of the second half of the campaign.
"Five days off," he said when asked about his team's plans during January.
"Curly cravats and cigars for the boys. And then back in, three weeks of work."
And would the league leaders enjoy a well deserved break somewhere exotic?
"Just for me, I'll try and blag it off from Sagey if I can," he added, with Perth owner Tony Sage now on highlight for a call from his mischievous manager.
