The Matildas will play their first match since the Tokyo Olympics when they face the Republic of Ireland in Dublin on Wednesday morning (AEST).
Tony Gustavsson's side fell just short of a medal in Japan after losing a bronze-medal match against the United States 4-3 last time out.
Australia showed promising signs of progress under Gustavsson at the Olympics with their quarter-final win over Great Britain particularly encouraging.
The Republic of Ireland didn't qualify for the Games and have lost seven straight games coming into this match against the Matildas.

The Matildas will be hopeful of claiming an away victory on Wednesday morning as they look to build on their progress made in Tokyo.
After a shaky start under new coach Gustavsson, Australia have seemingly found their feet under the Swede and now have their sights set on the 2023 Women's World Cup on home soil.
The Matildas are currently ranked 11th in the world and will be favourites against a Republic of Ireland side currently sitting 33rd.
These two nations have never faced off in women's football making it a historic fixture.
