The Matildas will finally return to action against Germany over the weekend following a one-year absence due to COVID-19.
Since Australia's women's side last played they've appointed a new coach in the form of Tony Gustavsson, who will face a tough test on debut.
Germany are currently ranked second in the world but do come into the contest having lost their most recent match against the Netherlands in February.
The Matildas, meanwhile, are sitting seventh in the world rankings and beat Vietnam 2-1 when they last played in March 2020.

These two sides last met in the group stages of the 2016 Rio Olympics where Germany came from 2-0 down to salvage a 2-2 draw.
Prior to that, Germany also hosted the Matildas for a friendly in 2010 with the European giants claiming a 2-1 win on that occasion.
How to watch the Matildas vs Germany in Australia
The Matildas' return to the pitch will be easy to watch from Australia with many different ways to tune in for the match against Germany.
Both ABC and Fox Sports will televise the game, while it will also be streamed online via Kayo and the My Football App.
The Matildas squad
Due to COVID-19, Gustavsson has been forced to name a European-based squad for his first match with W-League players kept in Australia.
Despite those omissions, the squad still looms as a strong one with superstars like Sam Kerr, Hayley Raso, Caitlin Foord and Alanna Kennedy among an initial 23 players selected.
Ellie Carpenter and Amy Harrison have however been forced to withdraw from the squad due to COVID-19 protocols that have made it too difficult for them to make the trip to Germany from their club bases.
Neither player will be replaced in the squad meaning Gustavsson now has 21 players to call upon for the match against Germany and another looming friendly versus Netherlands.
Full Matildas team: Mackenzie Arnold, Laura Brook, Emma Checker, Caitlin Foord, Mary Fowler, Emily Gielnik, Beatrice Goad, Dylan Holmes, Alexandra Huynh, Alanna Kennedy, Sam Kerr, Chloe Logarzo, Aivi Luik, Ella Mastrantonio, Clare Polkinghorne, Hayley Raso, Indiah-Paige Riley, Karly Roestbakken, Amy Sayer, Emily Van Egmond, Lydia Williams.
