Liverpool vs Fulham final score, highlights, result as Reds steal seven-goal thriller at the death image

ANFIELD, LIVERPOOL — Liverpool netted two late goals at a raucous Anfield to claim a dramatic 4-3 win over Fulham.

The Reds saw leads gained through a Bernd Leno own goal and an Alexis Mac Allister stunner evaporate in the first half, Harry Wilson and Kenny Tete grabbing the equalisers.

And they looked destined for a defeat they could have had few complaints about when Bobby Decordova-Reid headed home at the back stick with just 10 minutes of normal time remaining.

However, a fine strike from substitute Wataru Endo set up a grandstand finish in which Trent Alexander-Arnold provided the crowning moment, smashing in at the Kop end to spark delirium.

Liverpool vs Fulham live updates, highlights, commentary

FULLTIME: LIVERPOOL 4-3 FULHAM

An absolutely bonkers games comes to an end and what a win that is for Liverpool. Incredible scenes.

94th min: Liverpool fans going crazy now and claiming for every throw-in and foul. This would be an unbelievable win given the position they were in and because this hasn't been a vintage performance by any means.

88th min: GOALLLLLL!!!! LIVERPOOL MIGHT HAVE JUST WON IT!!!!!!!

Chaos at Anfield!!!!

Nunez clips a hopeful cross to the back stick where Tsimikas knocks it down and Alexander-Arnold is there to pick up the scraps and fire a low finish past Leno.

The Reds vice-captain has had his earlier free-kick taken off him as the ball actually went in off Leno, but that one is 100% his!

87th min: GOAL!!! LIVERPOOL HAVE LEVELLED IT AGAIN!

This game is utterly ridiculous. Liverpool work it into the Fulham box where the ball is laid off for the arriving Endo, who sidefoots it right into the top corner.

It's another beautiful goal in a game that has been packed with them.

84th min: Liverpool so close to equalising! Endo's header from a corner is kept out by Leno and then Salah inexplicably thrashes over on the follow-up.

He usually doesn't miss those!

80th min: GOAL!!! FULHAM LEAD FOR THE FIRST TIME!

The visitors have maintained a threat all the way through this game and they have made it pay with 10 minutes of normal time remaining.

They play through Liverpool far too easily before a dinked cross to the back post is met by a Decordova-Reid header to send the away fans delirious.

You have to say Fulham have deserved it. A great performance from Marco Silva's men.

77th min: This game has lost rhythm with all the subs and is somewhat petering out.

That'll delight Fulham, for whom this would be a more than decent point.

74th min: More Fulham subs now, Castagne and Decordova-Reid replacing Tete and Iwobi.

Can the visitors nick this with fresh legs on the pitch?

68th min: Joel Matip goes down after appearing to turn his ankle and he won't be able to continue.

Here comes Ibrahima Konate.

64th min: And now Liverpool make changes of their own, Gakpo and Gomez coming in for Mac Allister and Szoboszlai.

That will mean Alexander-Arnold going into midfield.

63rd min: Two changes for Fulham, Willian and Cairney taking the field in place of Wilson and Pereira.

61st min: A wonderful Liverpool move ends in Salah knocking a header over the top for the onrushing Nunez but he slips at the vital moment and miscues the shot.

It's been that sort of day for the Reds' No.9.

58th min: Diaz turns in the box and gets a shot away but it takes a nick on the way through making it easy for Leno to collect.

Liverpool looking a touch more in control so far this half but that Fulham threat on the counter is always lurking.

53rd min: Off the bar!!!

Liverpool break at pace through Salah, who slips in Nunez for a shot at goal inside the box that cannons back off the bar.

The Uruguayan hasn't been at his best today but that wasn't a bad effort at all under pressure.

46th min: Back under way at Anfield.

HALFTIME: LIVERPOOL 2-2 FULHAM

A brilliant, four-goal first half comes to an end at Anfield. Liverpool have been electric going forward at times but sloppy at the back, and you can say pretty much the same for Fulham.

A big halftime for both managers as they look to restore some sanity. Let's hope they fail!

45th min (+6): Tim Ream thinks he's put Fulham in front from another flicked on corner but the flag is up once more and this time it's the right decision.

Liverpool just can't control the visitors from set-pieces.

45th min (+2): GOAL!!! FULHAM EQUALISE AGAIN!

Kenny Tete pokes home after Jimenez flicks on a corner at the near post and, though the flag goes up immediately after, a VAR check confirms the goal.

It's not a pretty goal but they all count equally - what a game this is!

45th min: Nine minutes to be added on as a result of the Leno injury early in the game.

38th min: GOAL!!! MAC ALLISTER MAKES IT 2-1!

That is an utterly incredible strike. A clearance falls to Mac Allister fully 30 yards from goal and he elects to take a swing and wow, what a swing.

The ball curls beautifully outwards and into the top corner and, once again, Leno can do nothing about what.

36th min: This has descended into an end-to-end thriller since the Fulham equaliser and huge credit has to go to the visitors for that. They're giving as good as they get so far.

33rd min: Robinson drives through the Liverpool midfield and gets a deflected shot away that trickles agonisingly wide of the post with Kelleher stranded.

Fulham could have crumbled after conceding the opener but they've been brilliant since.

29th min: Matip meets a Tsimikas free-kick delivery but can only head it over the bar.

That was a decent opportunity for the hosts.

24th min: GOAL! WILSON EQUALISES!

Fulham are straight back in the game!

They work the ball out to the left-hand side of the Liverpool box where Robinson has time and space to fire in a low cross that Wilson pokes underneath Kelleher's dive.

A muted celebration from the former Reds winger but he'll be ecstatic to have got the visitors back on terms.

20th min: GOAL! ALEXANDER-ARNOLD GIVES LIVERPOOL THE LEAD!

What a free-kick!!! Alexander-Arnold steps up to a free-kick 25 yards out on the right-hand side of the Fulham area and curls an absolute beauty in off the bar.

Leno dives but he doesn't get near it - two goalkeepers wouldn't have.

14th min: Incredibly, Leno is going to carry on. He's up again and sporting a huge bandage on his head.

11th min: Leno is still down receiving treatment after that non-goal and for good reason: replays show he caught a knee to the head from Diaz in the melee.

Fulham are surely going to have to change their goalkeeper here.

8th min: Liverpool have the ball in the net but it's not going to count.

It's Mohamed Salah who pokes in after Luis Diaz challenges following a spill from a Dominik Szoboszlai shot from the edge of the box.

However, Diaz has clearly strayed offside in the initial phase of play and the assistant rightly flags.

3rd min: Liverpool get the first shot of the match away, Luis Diaz hitting one on the turn after the ball breaks fortuitously to him.

However, it's straight down Bernd Leno's throat and he holds on well.

KICKOFF: Fulham get us under way.

5 mins to kickoff: Here come the players at a cold but now also rain-soaked Anfield. If any Liverpool players are still feeling the effects of playing on Thursday, they'll need to quickly put that fatigue to the back of their mind here.

20 mins to kickoff: Interesting to see Darwin Nunez get the nod up top today despite Cody Gakpo's impressive performance in midweek.

The Uruguayan will be desperate to boost his chances of keeping hold of his place by ending a five-game goalless streak for Liverpool.

45 mins to kickoff: While both teams are preparing for this game, the FA Cup third round draw has been made.

Liverpool have been handed a tough trip to Arsenal, while Fulham will welcome Rotherham to Craven Cottage.

1 hr to kickoff: The team news is in! Check out how both teams line up above.

1.5 hrs to kickoff: As you can see, it's a cold one at Anfield today.

2 hrs to kickoff: Hello and welcome to The Sporting News' live coverage of Liverpool vs Fulham in the Premier League. The Reds received a major boost on Thursday as they secured qualification for the Europa League knockout stages as group winners with a game to spare by beating LASK 4-0 at Anfield.

Now they must cope with the potential fatigue caused by a quick turnaround as they return to league action against Fulham, who are 14th after winning a thriller 3-2 at home to Wolves on Monday.
