Liverpool are back in Champions League action after a year away, and it isn't an easy one as they face AC Milan at the famous San Siro.
The matchup is one of the most famous in the competition, with the sides meeting twice in three finals during the 2000s, with Liverpool winning in 2005 with one of the most famous comebacks in football history.
That was a long time ago, but whilst the stakes are lower, it was an exciting first half in Liverpool's return to the competition!

Liverpool lead after dramatic Champions League first half
It was a dramatic first 45 minutes in the Champions League between Liverpool and Milan, with the goals beginning after just three minutes.
The home side could have scored after just a minute as Milan broke easily through Liverpool's defence, requiring captain Virgil van Dijk to make a last ditch clearance; they would have no such luck moments later as Christian Pulisic's low and powerful drive put the Rossoneri in front.
Despite Milan's fast start, Liverpool had the better of much of the first half, and started to push for an equaliser.
Diogo Jota went close, before Mohamed Salah's shot cannoned off the crossbar after his trademark cutting in from the right.
Liverpool would eventually come from behind to take the lead, with goals from two unlikely sources.
Ibrahima Konate got the equaliser in the 23rd minute as he rose highest to head home a Trent Alexander-Arnold free-kick after some poor defending and goalkeeping from the home side, before his centre back partner Virgil van Dijk put the Reds in front with a strong header of his own just before the break, with Kostas Tsimikas' delivery being pinpoint for the Dutchman to power his header past Mike Maignan.
After a weekend defeat in the league ended their perfect start of the season, new coach Arne Slot will be happy with how his side have recovered in a difficult game, and will be hoping Liverpool can keep up the job in the second half.
