FFA Cup final: When, where, squads, tickets and how to watch image

The FFA Cup final will see Melbourne Victory and Central Coast Mariners battle it out for silverware at AAMI Park on Saturday night.

After COVID-19 postponements, the tournament has suffered several delays with the decider originally scheduled to be played before the latest A-League Men's season began last year.

This game will be the last under the FFA Cup moniker with the competition's new name to be revealed prior to the final kicking off.

Both the Victory and Mariners have enjoyed strong starts to the new A-League Men's season with that form carrying over to their respective FFA Cup campaigns.

Tony Popovic's Melbourne side are currently top of the league after eight games with only one defeat to their name.

Nick Montogomery's Central Coast, meanwhile, are sitting seventh but have shown some encouraging signs despite a turbulent off-season.

Victory booked their place in the final after a 4-1 win over Wellington Phoenix, while the Mariners edged out Sydney FC 1-0.

Central Coast have never won the FFA Cup before with Victory's sole title dating back to 2015.

These two sides haven't faced off in the league yet this season with their last competitive match dating back to a 1-1 draw in May 2021.

FFA Cup name change

With Football Federation Australia now known as simply Football Australia, they have spent the past several months looking into a new name for the competition.

Football fans were encouraged to put forward their suggestions with an announcement on the new name to be made prior to Saturday night's final.

Among the contenders, the Australia Cup, Johnny Warren Cup and Les Murray Cup were all viewed favourably early on.
