England are hosting this summer's UEFA Women's EURO 2022 finals and expectations are high for Sarina Wiegman's team.

The Lionesses have made the final of tournament and the hope is that home advantage could help them overcome eight-time champions Germany.

Find out who has the honour of leading the team.

Who is England Women's captain?

The England Women's captain is Leah Williamson. The 25-year-old Arsenal defender was appointed as permanent skipper by Wiegman in April 2022 ahead of the Women's Euros finals.

Williamson made her England debut in Russia on June 7, 2018. She has since won 27 senior caps for her country.

Who did Leah Williamson replace as England captain?

Williamson replaced Steph Houghton as England captain. Houghton, also the Manchester City skipper, has struggled with injury in recent months and has not been fit enough to start for the national team since February 2021.

The 34-year-old is not part of the England squad for the Women's Euros.

Who is England Women's vice-captain?

Chelsea centre-half Millie Bright is England Women's vice-captain, and Manchester City striker Ellen White is third in line for the armband.
