Belgium may be ranked second in the world, but they are on the brink of World Cup elimination ahead of their match against fellow heavyweights Croatia.
They were unimpressive in their victory over Canada, and were humbled by Morocco, losing 2-0 as they were comprehensively outplayed. They now sit third in the group and must beat Croatia if they are any chance to make the knockout rounds and make a deep run into the tournament.
Croatia have not had a perfect tournament either, they were uninspiring in a drab 0-0 draw with Morocco and started slowly against Canada falling behind after two minutes. But they regained their composure and eventually came back to win comfortably 4-1 as striker Andrej Kramaric scored a double.
They still need to win this game as a loss would open the door for Belgium and Morocco to leapfrog them and lead them to an embarrassing exit just four years after making the final. Belgium need to win and hope that Canada can hold Morocco to a draw or a defeat.
