Australia get their home World Cup campaign underway on July 20, when they host World Cup debutants Republic of Ireland at Stadium Australia.

One of the most highly anticipated games in Australian football history, 80,000 fans are expected to be in attendance as an in-form Matildas side look to begin a special World Cup journey in front of their own fans.

Ireland will give them a tough game, though, as they are keen to lay down a marker of their own – and the girls in green did defeat the Matildas the last time the sides clashed in 2021.

Given it is one of the top games of the group stages, many outlets will be live streaming the match, The Sporting News has all the details on where fans worldwide will be able to stream the clash.

The match was originally going to be held at Sydney Football Stadium, but was moved to the larger Stadium Australia due to the increased demand for tickets.
