The 2022 Australia Cup, previously known as the FFA Cup, will see Macarthur and Sydney United face off for silverware in the final on Saturday.

Sydney United became the first National Premier League side to reach an Australia Cup final after beating A-League Men clubs Western United and Brisbane Roar on their way to the decider.

Macarthur, meanwhile, are vying for their first ever piece of silverware having only been founded in 2017.

The Bulls are coached by former Manchester United star Dwight Yorke, who was only appointed in July and is yet to lose a competitive match in charge of the club.

The Sporting News bring you all the details about the 2022 Australia Cup final.

What time is the Australia Cup final?

Macarthur vs. Sydney United preview and predicted lineups

The Australia Cup has provided the ideal warm up for Macarthur ahead of the new A-League Men season.

Yorke has been given an invaluable look at his side and how certain players have handled the pressure of the cup.

New signing Daniel Arzani scored a brace in their 5-2 win over Oakleigh Cannons in the semi-finals and looks ready to make the most of his return to Australia.

Mexican star Ulises Davila has also been in fine form and is a hard man to stop when he's at the top of his game.

Macarthur predicted lineup (4-2-3-1): Kurto (GK) - McGing, Uskok, Aspropotamitis, Vujica - De Silva, Baccus - Toure, Davila, Arzani - Rose.

Unlike the Bulls, Sydney United are at the end of their season having finished eighth in NPL NSW.

With one final game to play, coach Miro Vlastelica will likely to stick with the players that have got them to the Australia Cup final.

Veteran Glen Trifiro scored the semi-final winner off the bench and will likely be saved as a potential super-sub.

Sydney United predicted lineup (4-2-3-1): Nizic (GK) - Roberts, Perkatis, Vlastelica, Gonzalez - Tomelic, Agamemnonos - Kaneko, Maia, Bilic - Payne.

Australia Cup final betting odds and prediction

As the A-League Men opposition, Macarthur come into this match as heavy favourites and with the stronger squad on paper.

Sydney United can't be underestimated though with a vocal crowd likely to favour the underdogs.

Vlastelica's side have also already proven they are capable of beating A-League opposition and know how to grind out results when the pressure is on.

Macarthur have, however, found form under new coach Yorke and appear to have too much star power for Sydney United to keep quiet.

Prediction: Macarthur to win 2-1
