Mark Schwarzer was on the bench for Leicester City, who struck twice late on to beat West Bromwich Albion 3-2 away from home in the Premier League. 

Jason Davidson was not in the matchday squad for the beaten hosts.

Mile Jedinak, available again after suspension, returned to Crystal Palace’s starting XI and the captain supplied the assist for the third goal in a 4-1 win away to Sunderland.

In the Championship, Adam Federici kept a clean sheet for Reading, who drew 0-0 at home to Blackburn Rovers.

Massimo Luongo played the full match for Swindon Town, who defeated Peterborough United 1-0 at home in League One. 

Bailey Wright started and finished the game and Neil Kilkenny was an unused substitute for Preston North End, who drew 1-1 at home to Bristol City.

Alex Cisak completed 90 minutes and Shane Lowry played until the 74th minute of Leyton Orient’s 1-1 draw away to Crewe Alexandra. 

In the Scottish Premiership, Ryan McGowan helped the Dundee United defence keep a clean sheet in a 1-0 win at home to Hamilton Academical.

Scott McDonald played a full game for Motherwell, who went down 2-0 away to Partick Thistle. 


Europe

James Holland played the full game and picked up a yellow card in Austria Wien’s 1-1 draw away to fellow strugglers Grodig in the Austrian Bundesliga.

In the Belgian Pro League, Mat Ryan and Club Brugge suffered a rare loss, going down 2-0 away to Kortrijk. 

Mitch Langerak didn’t get off the bench as Borussia Dortmund lost 3-1 away to Borussia Monchengladbach in the Bundesliga.

A tier below in the 2. Bundesliga, Mathew Leckie played the full game for Ingolstadt, who defeated Heidenheim 1-0 away from home.

Trent Sainsbury completed 90 minutes for PEC Zwolle, who lost 3-1 away to PSV Eindhoven in the Eredivisie. 

Oliver Bozanic was an unused substitute for Luzern, who lost 1-0 at FC Thun in the Swiss Super League.


Asia

Tim Cahill completed 90 minutes for Shanghai Shenhua in a 2-2 Chinese Super League draw at home to Chongqing Lifan. Former Melbourne Victory stalwart Adrian Leijer played the full game and picked up a booking for the visitors. 

Aleksandar Jovanovic played the full game and helped Jeju United keep a clean sheet in a 1-0 K-League Classic win at home Pohang Steelers.

Brett Holman opened the scoring but couldn’t prevent Al Nasr from going down 2-1 at home to Al Ain in the Arabian Gulf League.
