Auckland FC announced their first batch of player signings in late May, with four New Zealand locals to join the club for the 2024/25 A-League Men season.

"We are building a club that has a strong connection to Auckland," inaugural coach Steve Corica said, via A-Leagues.

"We wanted our first player announcements to be talented New Zealanders who have experience both locally and internationally."

The Kiwi quartet is made up of goalkeeper Michael Woud, experienced defender Francis De Vries, attacking midfielder Cameron Howieson and young talent Jesse Randall.

The signings have continued, with Japan international Hiroki Sakai, back-to-back A-League Champion Dan Hall, and 2021-22 Johnny Warren Medal winner Jake Brimmer all joining the new side, who are putting together a strong outfit on paper.

They have also stoked the rivalry with fellow New Zealand side Wellington by announcing signing Alex Paulsen on loan from Premier League side Bournemouth.

Paulsen had a breakout season at the Phoenix last year, but his signing is pending approval from Football Australia, as it requires a change in the rules.
