Tottenham boss Ange Postecoglou has revealed he is more concerned with Spurs continuing to improve than their lofty position on the Premier League table.
The North Londoners are two points clear of Manchester City and Arsenal on top of the league, with the possibility of going five points clear on Saturday morning (AEDT) when they travel to Crystal Palace.
However, Postecoglou dismissed talk of Tottenham's leadership of the Premier League, instead focusing on the team's development this season.

"It doesn’t really add any significance because whatever happens Friday night there’s still a full round of Premier League fixtures to be played and nothing of any real significance comes of that," Postecoglou said in his pre-match press conference.
"We’re in a good space at the moment but, again, we’ve still got plenty of work to do to make sure what we do now is sustainable. That’s the main thing.
"It’s not about making a short-term impact. It’s about building something which hopefully brings sustained opportunities of success for the club."
The Australian tactician - who was unhappy with the second-half performance in their recent win against Fulham - revealed he believed the team's attack is the area that could be improved the most.
"I still think our main growth will come in the attacking side of the game," he said.
"I still think, particularly in the front third, a lot of our movements are still not natural and fluent like we want them to be, which isn’t surprising.
"But what is getting us the goals is that we have great quality up there, which is contributing to that."
Tottenham have scored 20 goals in nine Premier League matches, while only conceding eight - which is the equal second-best defence behind Manchester City (seven goals conceded).
Following the Palace match, Spurs have a tough league run over the next month which includes home matches against Chelsea and Aston Villa, with trips to Wolves and Manchester City.
However, it appears Tottenham are benefiting from an absence of European football having missed qualification for continental competitions last season because of their eighth-placed league finish.
