Celtic coach Ange Postecoglou has refused to buy into claims the club could be seen as underdogs heading into his first Old Firm Derby on Sunday.
The Hoops failed to beat fierce rivals Rangers last season with their last victory in the fixture dating back to late 2019.
Postecoglou's side have however claimed 6-0 wins in their past two Scottish Premiership matches and appear to have turned a corner under their new manager.
Despite Celtic's recent record in the derby, Postecoglou hit back at suggestions they could consider themselves underdogs going into the blockbuster fixture.
"I don’t like the whole underdogs thing. That’s always a big Australian thing, we love being the underdog, it’s not something I really buy into," Postecoglou said.
"You’re going in sort of already conceding that you’re somehow not up to a task, and it’s going to take something extraordinary – that’s not how I see us.

"I don’t think Celtic would ever see themselves as an underdog, and they shouldn’t in any contest.
"When you represent this football club, every game is there to be won, every game is an opportunity for us to impose our football.
"Favourites, underdogs becomes irrelevant. What's really important to me is belief, belief in ourselves, belief in our football and our football club."
On the Old Firm Derby itself, Postecoglou added: "It’s one of the most famous fixtures globally. Whilst as a manager you sometimes say ‘It’s just another game’, you know it’s not because of particularly what it means to our supporters and what it means to this football club.
"We want to be involved in big games where there’s extra significance to the result and that’ll certainly be the case on Sunday.
"There will be defining moments throughout the season. Sunday's another chance to build on that momentum but it's August and we won't be getting carried away whatever the result it.
"It's a big fixture in Australia. It's not lost the significance of this fixture on me. Growing up in Australia there were a few games from around the world that we all tuned into and this was certainly one of them."
Celtic go into the clash after a midweek 2-1 loss against AZ in a Europa League playoff with the narrow defeat enough to see them progress to the competition's group stages.
