Celtic have wasted no time in squashing a recent claim surrounding Ange Postecoglou's arrival at the club.
The former Socceroos coach began his reign with the Hoops in style after seeing his new side come from behind to beat Sheffield Wednesday in their first pre-season friendly this week.
While Postecoglou has hit the ground running on the pitch, he was expected to bring in an assistant coach of his own with Ross Aloisi one name that was linked to the job.
Such a reinforcement is yet to happen however with Australian football agent Tony Rallis suggesting Celtic haven't allowed their new manager to make such changes.
"My understanding is that Celtic Football Club have told Ange that he has to develop and inherit his coaching staff from within. He wasn't allowed to take any of his staff," Rallis told Triple M's Real Football Show on Thursday.
"Whether that changes in time I'm not sure but that was the initial programming - that they wanted him to come in and educate and implement within their own environment."
Just hours later though, the Hoops acted swiftly to rubbish such a claim, stressing Postecoglou has the freedom to do what he'd like on and off the pitch.
"It’s absolute nonsense, you just have to look back at Dom and Ange's quotes from a couple of weeks ago, Ange has been given a blank canvas by Dom," a club spokesperson told CeltsAreHere.com.
Speaking at his first official Celtic press conference in late June, Postecoglou himself confirmed backroom changes were likely in the weeks to come but first wanted to assess those already at the club.
"There's definitely going to be a change in the way we work and the way we train, and the environment and the people who will be in that environment will be the ones who I think can drive us in the direction I want to go," he said.
"So will there be changes? There probably will be changes, that doesn't necessarily mean people will be going. We might be bringing other people in. But I'll make those decisions over the next few weeks once I get a good idea of the people that are already in place.
"There's some good people in the club already. The club had a lot of success for a very long time. You don't want to discard that knowledge and experience because of what happened last year.
"I will certainly be heading in a new direction and I'll find people that will help us go in that direction."
