The A-League Women, previously known as the W-League, was founded in 2008 and is about to embark on its 15th season.
The 2021/22 campaign saw Wellington Phoenix added to the competition with Western United to join in 2022/23.
Sydney FC finished first last season to claim a fourth premiership before Melbourne Victory were crowned champions in the finals.
With another new team joining the mix, more games to be played and the 2023 Women's World Cup looming, the 2022/23 A-League Women season is poised to be bigger than ever before.

When does the A-League Women start in 2022/23?
The 2022/23 A-League Women season will start on November 19, 2022.
Three games all played at the same time will kick off the new campaign.
Canberra United vs. Perth Glory, Brisbane Roar vs. Newcastle Jets and Western United vs. Melbourne Victory will headline the opening day of action will all matches slated to start at 15:00 (AEDT).
The regular season will then conclude on April 2, 2022 with the grand final set to be played on the last weekend of that month.

How many rounds in the A-League Women this season?
More games than ever before will be played in the A-League Women across the 2022/23 season.
The regular season has been expanded to 20 rounds, up from 14, with a bye for one club each round due to there being 11 teams.
The A-League Women regular season hasn't seen an increase in rounds since 2015 and has now officially doubled in games since its inception in 2008.
Every match of the A-League Women this season will be available to watch live and free on 10Play.
