Network 10's first season covering the A-League Men on free-to-air television hasn't been entirely smooth sailing.

While football fans welcomed the chance for the competition to have one Saturday night match each round to be more accessible, those broadcasted games haven't been without their problems.

Ad breaks have been one major issue with Network 10's coverage to date.

There was controversy earlier in the season when it was confirmed drink breaks were being deliberately used during matches as a way to squeeze in commercials.

While that scheme was eventually removed earlier this year, it left Network 10 in a tough spot of still trying to find time for required ad breaks.

That awkward position was highlighted on Sunday afternoon when a key goal during Adelaide United's elimination final win over Central Coast Mariners was missed in favour of a poorly timed commercial.

Fans were understandably furious and are calling for Network 10 to find a better solution with the A-League Men season now approaching its business end.

To make matters worse, the competition's TV ratings this season are also reportedly pulling Network 10 down across the board.

Every A-League Men finals game is set to be shown on Network 10 with matches to be broadcast on either Channel 10 or 10 Bold.

All fixtures are also shown on new streaming service Paramount Plus - which hasn't been without its issues this season either
