A-League Men top five stadiums: Which football venue will be no.1? image

The new A-League Men's season is about to begin and Sporting News Australia has ranked the top five stadiums to be used in the league this campaign.

Venues have been ranked according to past atmosphere, accessibility, facilities and football-purpose venues are weighted higher with their superior view of the action.

5. HBF Park (Perth)

Expect Perth Glory's stadium to be rocking this season with former Liverpool star Daniel Sturridge turning out for the club.

HBF Park is a football-purpose venue with a quality grandstand on one wing, while The Shed provides plenty of atmosphere behind one of the goals.

It has a capacity of 20,500.

4. Central Coast Stadium (Gosford)

One of the most picturesque stadiums in the world with the palm trees and lake behind one end of the venue, Central Coast Stadium is a must-visit for A-League fans.

If the Mariners could get the place bumping and close to its capacity of 20,059, there is no doubt it could be higher up the list.

3. Coopers Stadium (Adelaide)

An intimate venue with old facilities but when full with Adelaide fans, has one of the most intense atmospheres in the A-League despite its 17,000 capacity.

No matter where you sit, it feels like you're on top of the action and it makes for a great experience.

2. CommBank Stadium (Parramatta)

The most recent football-purpose stadium built with a capacity of 30,000, CommBank Stadium has the potential to be Australia's premier football venue.

But because of the global pandemic, we have yet to see if hit the atmosphere levels warranted for that honour.

Watch this space as fans return big time in 2021-22.

1. AAMI Park (Melbourne)

Even when half-full, the atmosphere and acoustics at Melbourne's AAMI Park can out strip most other football venues in the country.

Being a modern stadium with 30,050 capacity, it has some of the best facilities in the league and when jam-packed for a Melbourne Victory game, the electric atmosphere is something to savour.
