If binge-watching all those episodes of American Ninja Warriors has you wondering whether you’ve got what it takes to make it through the obstacle course, here’s a chance to find out.
Dubbed an outdoor extreme fitness dojo, Ninja Force is Hong Kong’s answer to all of your ninja warrior dreams. Located in the New Territories, the space spans an 18,000 sqft lot in Kam Tin, Yuen Long.
The dojo not only takes inspiration from the courses found on American Ninja Warrior but also takes a page from the popular Japanese variety show TBS SASUKE where participants take part in all sorts of extreme physical challenges.
The dojo caters to different levels of physical fitness and is sectioned into three courses: playground game, physical competition and top competition. Children as young as eight years old can try their hand at one of 20 obstacles that challenge strength, balance, stamina and agility.
And if you’re still worried you’re not up to the challenge, there are classes for both adults and children headed by a SPOTTED-certified ninja coach. Not only will you be able to train in a safe environment, but you’ll also land a few tips on how to improve your performance to climb eventually, swing and jump through the different levels of courses.
If you’re still not sure if outdoor obstacle courses are the thing for you, consider stopping by the upcoming Ninja Night Party on September 17 with a few friends to see how far along you can get. Coaches will be on hand, and mini-games set up at the different obstacles will help visitors get a sense of what the sport is all about.
With drinks and a DJ playing throughout the night, it’s a fun way to find out if you have what it takes to become the next champion ninja warrior.
