With every man and his dog weighing in on what Cooper Cronk might do next after confirming he'll be leaving Melbourne at the end of the season, Storm captain Cameron Smith has offered his opinion.

Having been his teammate at club, state and international level for over a decade, Smith suspects Cronk could and probably should finish playing at season's end having accepted coaching role at Melbourne next season.

Though admitting Cronk's decision to play on could still go either way, Smith seemed skeptical of his current teammate playing somewhere else and returning to the Storm to coach.

Regardless of what Cronk does do next season, this year still has plenty to offer with a must win Origin game awaiting both him and Smith on Wednesday.
