Please remember to only take this as a bit of fun, and make sure you drink responsibly, but we do strongly recommend you book Monday in as sickie right now.

Here is a breakdown of the squads to help your punting (and drinking)

WARRIORS: Shaun Johnson (c), Matthew Allwood, Nathan Friend, Ben Henry, Ryan Hoffman, Sebastine Ikahihifo, Solomone Kata, Ngani Laumape, Sam Lisone, Tuimoala Lolohea, Sione Lousi, Simon Mannering, Suaia Matagi, Ben Matulino, Ken Maumalo, Dominique Peyroux, Nathaniel Roache, Bodene Thompson, Sam Tomkins, Chad Townsend, Manu Vatuvei, Jonathan Wright (four to be trimmed from final squad).

Pool: Hunua – Raiders, Tigers, Titans

Are they a chance? A chance? They’re hot favourites! Most pundits reckon the title is theirs for the taking.

COWBOYS: Coming soon

Pool: Waiheke – Storm, Panthers, Rabbitohs

Are they a chance? The defending champions were a huge chance even before they named their team. Plenty of pace and it won’t hurt if JT is named.

SHARKS: Luke Lewis (c), Valentine Holmes, Sosaia Feki, Gerard Beale, Ricky Leutele, Jack Bird, Nu Brown, Kyle Stanley, Sam Tagataese, Pat Politoni, Tinirau Arona, Matt Prior, Chris Heighington, Blake Ayshford, Nathan Gardner, Todd Murphy, Sami Sauiluma, Junior Roqica.

Pool: Piha – Roosters, Broncos, Bulldogs

Are they a chance? They’d be more of a chance if Ben Barba, Paul Gallen and Michael Ennis were playing but they have plenty of others capable of turning it on.

KNIGHTS:  Sione Mata'utia, Jake Mamo, Dane Gagai, Chanel Mata'utia, Carlos Tuimavave, Jarrod Mullen (c), Tyrone Roberts, Pat Mata'utia, Adam Clydsdale, Paterika Vaivai, Tyler Randell, Chris Houston, Robbie Rochow, Nathan Ross, Korbin Sims, Joseph Tapine, Jack Stockwell, Danny Levi.

Pool : Rangitoto – Manly, Dragons, Eels

Are they a chance? Former Warriors U20s star Carlos Tuimavave will light up the weekend and they’re not lacking for speed, but it’s hard to see them winning the comp.

PANTHERS: Brendan Attwood, Christian Crichton, Joshua Jay, Isaac John, Apisai Koroisau, Kieran Moss, Andy Aunders, Nathan Smith, Tupou Sopoaga, Reagan Campbell-Gillard, Adrian Davis, George Jennings, Kevin Kingston, Sika Manu, Ben Murdoch-Masila, Chris Smith, Will Smith, Isaah Yeo.

Pool: Waiheke – Storm, Cowboys, Rabbitohs

Are they a chance? Not an out-and-out favourite, but don’t be surprised if they’re there or thereabouts on Sunday evening.

EELS:  Will Hopoate, Semi Radradra, John Folau, Brad Takairangi, Reece Robinson, Corey Norman, Chris Sandow (c), Junior Paulo, Kaysa Pritchard, Peni Terepo, Manu Ma’u, Tepai Moeroa, Joseph Paulo, David Gower, Kenny Edwards, Halauafu Lavaka, Pauli Pauli, Luke Kelly.

Pool: Rangitoto – Manly, Knights, Dragons

Are they a chance? The Eels have a well-rounded team with pace to burn… but how much will they be missing Jarryd Hayne this weekend?? (last time we mention it, honest).

ROOSTERS:  Mitchell Aubusson, Brendan Elliot, Kane Evans, Jackson Hastings, Samisoni Langi, Nene Macdonald, James Maloney, Willie Manu, Sam Moa, Taane Milne, Dylan Napa, Mitchell Pearce (c), Lagi Setu, Nathan Stapleton, Siosiua Taukeiaho, Roger Tuivasa-Sheck, Jared Waerea-Hargreaves (c), Mitchell Williams.

Pool: Piha – Broncos, Bulldogs, Sharks

Are they a chance? We’d back the Roosters as a smoky. Plenty of pace, power and playmaking in the squad – and watch out for Taane Milne, the kid has skills.

BRONCOS: Andrew McCullough (c), Ajuma Adams, Elijah Alick, Joe Boyce, Greg Eden, James Gavet, Alex Glenn, Todd Lowrie, Lachlan Maranta, Anthony Milford, Francis Molo, Darren Nicholls, Jayden Nikorima, Kodi Nikorima, Joe Ofahengaue, Tom Opacic, Matt Parcell, Aaron Whitchurch.

Pool: Piha – Roosters, Bulldogs, Sharks

Are they a chance? In short: no. Wayne Bennett will send Anthony Milford and Andrew McCullough, but most of Brisbane’s stars are staying put. The Nikorima boys will put on a show, but we don’t see this side wining.

TITANS: Will Zillman, James Roberts, Anthony Don, David Mead, Josh Hoffman, Brad Tighe, Kalifa Faifai Loa, Aidan Sezer, Daniel Mortimer, Christian Hazard, Kierran Moseley, Ryan James, Mark Ioane, Luke Douglas, Lachlan Burr, Davin Crampton, Dave Taylor, Matt Robinson.

Pool: Hunua – Raiders, Warriors, Tigers

Are they a chance? The Titans will be one of the fastest teams at Eden Park so don’t be surprised if they make it to the pointy end of the weekend.

RABBITOHS: Joel Reddy, Bryson Goodwin, Dylan Walker, Matt King, Chris McQueen, Issac Luke (c), Adam Reynolds, George Burgess, Angus Crichton, Ben Lowe, Jason Clark, Tom Hughes, Dave Tyrrell, Aaron Gray, Kyle Turner, Cameron McInnes, Chris Grevsmuhl, Setefano Taukafa.

Pool: Waiheke – Storm, Cowboys, Panthers

Are they a chance? Even though Greg Inglis and John Sutton aren’t playing, this is a very good team. Better than 10th favourite with the bookies anyway.

SEA EAGLES:  Daly Cherry-Evans (c), Manaia Rudolph, Jayden Hodges, Brayden Wiliame, Tony Satini, Kieran Foran, Clinton Gutherson, Tom Trbojevic, Peta Hiku,  Tom Symonds, Cheyse Blair, James Hasson, Feleti Mateo, Jesse Sene-Lefao, Josh Starling, Michael Chee Kam, Blake Leary, Dunamis Lui.

Pool: Rangitoto – Eels, Knights, Dragons

Are they a chance? Not all the Manly superstars are going but there’s enough firepower to give them a chance of the title.

WESTS TIGERS: Sitaleki Akauola, Nathan Brown, Jack Buchanan, Manaia Cherrington, Josh Drinkwater, Asipeli Fine, Salesi Funaki, Delouise Hoeter, Chris Lawrence, Lamar Liolevave, Kyle Lovett, Joel Luani, Kevin Naiqama, Pat Richards, Brenden Santi, Ava Seumanufagai, Tim Simona, Sauaso Sue.

Pool: Hunua – Raiders, Titans, Warriors

Are they a chance? Nup, sorry Tigers fans. There’s pace and power, but who’s going to run the show?

DRAGONS:  Euan Aitken, Mike Cooper, Shannon Crook, Josh Dugan, Tyson Frizell, Craig Garvey, Nathan Green, Yaw Kiti Glymin, Beau Henry, Dan Hunt, Benji Marshall (c), Peter Mata’utia, Will Matthews, Eto Nabuli, Jason Nightingale, Adam Quinlan, Joel Thompson, Shannon Wakeman.

Pool: Rangitoto – Eels, Manly, Knights

Are they a chance? The Dragons have speed, a good mix of youth and experience and the 9s format should be a good fit for captain Benji Marshall. They’re in a tough group though. Getting out might be the hardest part.

STORM:  Young Tonumaipea, Kenny Bromwich, Will Chambers (c), Kurt Mann, Richie Kennar, Dayne Weston, Cameron Munster, Hymel Hunt, Tim Glasby, Marika Koroibete, Travis Robinson, Christian Welch, Ben Hampton,  Billy Brittain, Francis Tualau, Nelson Asofa-Solomona, Suliasi Vunivalu, Shaun Nona.

Pool: Waiheke – Cowboys, Panthers, Rabbitohs

Are they a chance? None at all. It would be a boil-over if the Storm even made it out of the group with the team they’re sending.

BULLDOGS: Tim Browne, Damien Cook, Levi Dodd, Adam Elliott, Herman Ese'ese, Antonio Kaufusi, Shaun Lane, Michael Lichaa, Moses Mbye, Josh Morris, Sam Perrett, Lloyd Perrett, Tyrone Phillips, Frank Pritchard, Curtis Rona, Corey Thompson, Aiden Tolman, Tony Williams

Pool: Piha – Broncos, Roosters, Sharks

Are they a chance? This is a much better team than the odds suggest. If you’re backing a dark horse, the Dogs are it.

RAIDERS: Sam Williams, Mitch Cornish, Jarrod Croker (c), Lachlan Croker, Sisa Waqa, Joel Edwards, Josh McCrone, Rhys Kennedy, Glen Buttriss, Brenko Lee, Bill Tupou, Jack Ahearn, Luke Bateman, Haydon Hodge, Mark Nicholls, Kyle O'Donnell, Tevita Pangai Jnr, Ken Nagas.

Pool: Hunua – Tigers, Titans, Warriors

Are they a chance? You’d think it will be a battle for second spot behind the Warriors in this group. The Raiders might escape, but they won’t win.
