Having just escaped a conviction after being caught with cocaine earlier in the year, former Rooster Shaun Kenny-Dowall looks set to re-ignite his rugby league career in Newcastle.

With the June 30 transfer deadline fast approaching, Newcastle appear set to sign Kenny-Dowall according to Triple M and Fox Sports' reporter James Hooper.
The New Zealand international, who has only ever played for the Roosters, could officially become a Knight as soon as next week and play his first game not long after.
"There's been a lot of talk recently about what's happening with Shaun Kenny-Dowall," Hooper said on Triple M Saturday NRL.
"He's going to go to the Knights.
"He'll sign with the Knights over the course of the next week.
"It's a great signing for them.
"The Knights will give him a two-and-a-half year deal.
"He's got a little bit of a hamstring injury that he's picked up while he's been training on his own.
"He won't be able to play next weekend, but I think we'll see him wearing the Knights jumper very, very soon."
Newcastle could certainly use his try-scoring prowess with the Knights currently the second lowest point scorers so far this season behind the Bulldogs.
