He may be 42 years of age and contemplating an unlikely rugby league return, but that hasn't stopped Anthony Mundine from challenging WBO welterweight champion Jeff Horn to a potential fight.

With Horn's planned rematch with Manny Pacquiao now on the back burner, fellow Aussie Mundine has emerged as a shock next opponent according to The Sunday Telegraph.
While Mundine might not exactly be the match up Horn was hoping for, his promoter Dean Lonergan isn't entirely opposed to the idea after Mundine texted Horn and flagged the possibility of a fight.
"Obviously, Pacquiao was our priority," Lonergan told The Sunday Telegraph.
"I find it surprising Anthony thinks he can get in a ring with Jeff Horn but it would be a nice tune-up fight for something bigger.
"We’re on the big stage now but Jeff’s got to keep fit and keep fighting and you never know in boxing."
Last fighting in February as he fell to just his eighth professional defeat at the hands of Danny Green, Mundine is clearly desperate to prove himself against one of Australia's brightest boxing talents.
"I’ve beaten all the old generation so I may as well move on to the next," Mundine said.
"If Jeff wants to make some good money, he’ll need to fight me.
"Let’s do it."
With only four kilograms seperating the two boxers, a fight is logistically a possibility and would surely attract some serious attention after a busy few months for the sport.
Horn, 29, remains undefeated in his relatively short boxing career winning 17 fights and drawing once.
