Australian tennis needs more men like John Millman, who was the last Aussie to exit the singles' side of the US Open after falling to Philipp Kohlschreiber 7-5, 6-2, 6-4 in the third round.

Though unable to take a set of his German opponent, the 28-year-old showed plenty of fight at Flushing Meadows as he continues to battle back from a groin injury.
Set to break into the top 200 after his run at the US Open and securing a $210,000 pay day, Millman can hold his head high after a solid outing which saw him defeat Nick Kyrgios in the first round.
"A really good week," Millman said.
"I could walk off the court and say I was a little bit sore or whatever but, at the end of the day, physically I felt really good and I got beat by a guy who just played a little bit better than me.
"To be honest, I thought the whole match was pretty high quality.
"I really tried to back myself when the time was there to do so and I have to continue doing that.
"But I really think my game is at a good level right now and this week has been so good for that."
Millman's time at Flushing Meadows isn't over just yet though and is set to take on fellow Aussie Jordan Thompson in the men's doubles Round of 32 on Monday.
Currently ranked world number 235, the Brisbane-born player turned pro in 2006 and had a career-high ranking of 60 in 2016.
